Joanne was born November 04, 1942 and raised in Brockton, Mass. She was the daughter of Mary (Chor) and Samuel Lenoci. Joanne attended and graduated from Brockton High School class of 1960. She went on to work for New England Telephone Company as a long distance operator. She and her family eventually moved to Florida in the mid 1970's.

Joanne leaves to God's care her Husband, Gerald Kelley of Hernando, Florida, her daughter, Tami (Calcagni) Kelly of Inverness, Florida, her brother John (Jack) Lenoci of Whitman, Mass, her sister, Jayne (Lenoci) Wells of Horse Beach, Mass, as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Joanne was an active member of Hills Church, Beverly Hills where she served God faithfully as a greeter and wherever else she was needed. She was also instrumental in the "Celebrate Recovery" ministry that met at Hills Church. JOANNE WAS ALL ABOUT SERVING GOD.

Joanne had always dreamed of traveling. After their wedding in January, 2008, Joanne and Gerald began their journey traveling to all 50 states in the US, Canada along with a couple of international cruises seeing God's Glory in person.

In 2009 they visited Italy, walking all the major streets and historical sights of Italy. They also walked the streets of a lesser town named Bari where the Lenoci's were known to have immigrated from. They indeed did see a Lenoci Ford Dealership to confirm that.

He briefly attended Stonehill College before enlisting in the U.S. Army, eventually serving as a Sergeant M.P. in a Top Security position at Sandia Base, New Mexico. He, with his good friend Jim Millar, established a commercial plumbing and heating business, F & M Mechanical, in the 90s, and managed it successfully for fourteen years when they dissolved the company. Jim enjoyed dining out with friends, hiking in the White Mountains, and he played classical piano for many years. He was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox. His greatest enjoyment though, was being at home, and the quiet time spent with his wife, Kathy. He was a truly good and kind person, a gentle man and a gentleman, and had respect for everyone he met. He had a wry sense of humor and was admired by all who had the pleasure of knowing this special man. Jim is survived by his brother, Jack Ferrara and his wife Beverly of Plattsburgh, New York.

Judy Higgins Donohue reported that our classmate, Patricia (Yukna) Ftizpatrick has passed on...

Patricia A. (Yukna) Fitzpatrick, age 79, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William F. Fitzpatrick with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

She was born in Brockton on September 4, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Soter and Genevieve (Jackson) Yukna. Pat was raised in the north end of Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School with the Class of 1960. Pat cherished fond memories of her early years enjoying fun times and summers with family and friends at Woods Lake. In her BHS Senior year she met her special ‘60 classmate Billy Fitz.

Growing up she was surrounded by her mother’s sewing business and her interest in color and fabric surfaced at a young age. After studying art at The School of Practical Art in Boston, Pat then became a legal secretary and worked at the firm of Nutter, McClennen, and Fish. While raising her family, her artistic career as a painter, quilter and basket weaver began to emerge. Her work in all three media earned her a reputation as a highly skilled and creative artist / designer.

After moving to Chelmsford in 1969, Pat became active in the local arts community and is one of the Founders of the Chelmsford Art Society. She served as a member of the Chelmsford Cultural Council for 14 years and for many years was a member of the Northeast Basket Makers Guild. Pat created a limited-edition one of a kind basket series for the town of Chelmsford and several Massachusetts towns surrounding Chelmsford and often demonstrated weaving techniques in local communities and in her studio. She wrote a popular handbook for beginning weavers entitled “B is for Baskets”. Pat also created wool and cotton wall hangings, hand painted pillows, painted candle holders and FitzMitts-hand decorated fleece mittens. There was no limit to her creative talents.

Italy was her favorite European country which she traveled to extensively with her daughter. She enjoyed painting scenes from Tuscany and the small hilltop villages of the Amalfi coast. Interests and hobbies also included gardening and creative cooking. Most of all, Pat cherished the time spent with her family and summering on Cape Cod. She loved walking at the beach and picking shells, watching the seagulls and cherishing the smell of the salt air and the natural beauty of the seaside shores. She relished in hosting and preparing family favorite dishes, desserts and tasty treats at the FitzFam ‘42’ Homestead. This was Pat’s own special warm creative way of expressing her caring love.

“Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. Pat’s genuine goodness, her motherly caring and wisdom live on like a legacy of love that will always be with her beloved ‘FitzKids’, holding her children's hands for a while, but their hearts forever.”

In addition to her loving husband, Pat leaves her children William (Jen), Ft Worth, TX; Timothy (Kathleen), Indialantic, FL; and Meghan (Jeff), Carlsbad, CA; and Grandkids Ashley, Emily, Lauren, Connor, Reilly and Casey.

Lois graduated from the Brockton High School, and then attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy MA, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education, and completed all but one course, in a second major in Music, with a concentration in Applied Voice. She had a gorgeous soprano voice and was a soloist at numerous important events. After graduating from ENC, Lois taught grades 1, 2, and 3, at the Squantum Elementary School in Quincy, MA for 41 years, where she was supremely loved by her students, their parents, and all administrators. Lois also served as organist/pianist and choirmaster at several churches including eight years at Christ Lutheran Church in Scituate.

While at college she met, dated, and married Lambert Willard Brandes, who taught music, the organ and acoustics at ENC for 53 years. They worked together in many churches, beginning immediately after they were married, with 15-years at Bethany Congregational Church in Quincy, MA. There, they virtually adopted an 8-year old boy, Tomas Vozzella, and taught him to play the piano and organ. He then attended and graduated from ENC. Tom has since earned his master's degree and Doctorate in Music. To this day, they love Tom, and he addresses Lois and Lambert as "Mom and Pops"! Tom has now performed worldwide and he and his church choir were invited to provide the opening music for the Christmas celebration at the White House just a few years ago.
